After a very long stint the Argus Leader had one of their jokalists email me yesterday wondering if they could get any comments from someone who has been critical in the past of the Pavilion. They are doing a story on hiring a new director.<\/p>\n
I told them \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcNo Comment\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 because I cannot trust my exact words would be printed. So I will answer the question here:<\/p>\n
I never thought Steve Hoffman (former director) was the main problem at the Pavilion, I have even pointed it out to many Argus staffers (to no avail). I liked Steve, and at one time considered him a friend. He is a bright person who has an extensive knowledge of the arts. The problem with the Pavilion is the Board of Directors.<\/p>\n
Want the Pavilion\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s new director to be successful? Fire the board of directors and replace them with young, progressive thinkers, and make them an ADVISORY board only, and let the management company and new director do their job.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
