This pile of shoes was featured in my gallery exhibit IN PASSING. The piece evoked many comments. One person compared it to the Halocaust museum in D.C. Huh? The best was the old couple that didn’t know I was listening in on their conversation. They stared at the peice for a long time, and the guy said to his wife ‘Masterpiece, Huh?” It took an old farmer to figure out the piece was about nothing. The shoes now hang from  my kitchen ceiling to remind me, art is about nothing.
